Column Storage Concept Levitates; or Hangs From the Ceiling
Admit it, you always wanted at least a piece of furniture capable of doing some levitation to impress your friends. And if you didn-t, well, you-re still going to enjoy the Column. As you can see in the images below the Column is an out-of-the-box storage solution that simply hangs from the ceiling giving the impression that it has some levitating skills. Each Column is custom made for a special interior and consists of two parts, the marble pedestal at the bottom and the actual cedar wood cabinet that-s supposed to help you store stuff around. The pedestal gives the impression that the cabinet is floating on top of it but it will also provide plenty of support when it comes to reaching those top shelves. Don’t forget that Natuzzi offers cool accent tables too
Italian design always seems to stimulate my imagination on possibilities for decorating my home. Natuzzi is a household name that many of us are familiar with. Their history goes back over a hundred years where they have established a reputation as one of the top leather furniture producers in the world. There are other products that Natuzzi manufacturers that often stay under our radar as are attention is typically drawn to their fantastic sectionals. Take for instance the coffee tables in this image. The vanilla color matches the sectional perfectly. I enjoy the contrast between the shine of the tables versus the flat color of the leather. The bookshelf, rug, and sideboard blend in perfectly with these pieces. I imagine this room without the accent tables and after seeing this picture, think that there would be a void in the room.

1960s Danish Modern Coffee Table by Moredo
Here is a wonderful Danish modern coffee table made by Moredo of Denmark. This piece comes with the manufacturing stamp. I am not exactly certain of the manufacturing date, but I would estimate it to be in the 1960s. This piece is very simple which creates many possibilities for pairing it with other living room furniture. Look to pay around $800 for an example such as this one from a dealer and way less if you can find one on Craigslist.

Modern Rustic Lake House on Mercer Island, Washington – imaging yourself standing there …

The beautiful rustic Lake House on Mercer Island, Washington – built as close to the lake as permitted by code – drinks up all the lakeside splendor of nature and design influences. The modern house by Hutchison & Maul Architects boasts a unique exterior style that combines the weathered look of rusted metal, with warm natural wood and a cool, contemporary white facade. The result is a blend of styles that really work in this modern, multi-faceted design. Composed of numerous levels set along the sloping terrain and facing the lake, this 900-sq.-ft. house was designed with direct access to the water to accommodate living and recreation. A lower level houses the changing and bathing room, and provides storage for the family’s water sports equipment. A guest room is private from the main house, which is situated higher up on the hill to make the most of the gorgeous lake views. Terraces invite outdoor living, with main rooms that open to the outdoors and expansive windows at every turn. Hutchison & Maul Architects.
