kamado grill Kamado grill

If you are looking for an unusual grill that is simply quite unique, the Kamado grill is the one. Compared by some to the giant Faberge Egg, the Kamado barbecue grills are beautifully hand made in five sizes, and come in four standard colors of sleek mosaic tile – cobalt blue, green, sedona and terra blue. However, many customized premium tile colors are available to match any decor. You can use wood, charcoal, gas, or electricity with Kamado, and obtain a superb taste in a totally uniquely styled grill. Made in California, the grill was invented by an American pilot, Mr. Richard Johnson, who came across a ceramic rice cooker in Japan in the 1960s. Kamado grill prices depend on the size, color, accessories and materials, but expect to spend around $2,000 for the one with standard tile color. Kamado ships its grills practically anywhere in the USA. If you want to look further for more very hard to find grills, check Neatorama for several rare finds.

Luxury Hidden Hillside Home in Carmel Valley, California with a grass-topped roof

Sitting comfortably on a grassy slope in Carmel Valley, California, House Ocho by Feldman Architects is surrounded by mature oak trees and spectacular views in every direction. The priority for the homeowners was a design that enhanced the surroundings – not something to outdo them – which was the driving force for architect Jonathan Feldman. This modern house seems to get swallowed up into the hillside, with its low-profile, single-level layout, the grass-topped roofs and plenty of natural building materials like wood and stone. The home itself is a warm, light-filled space boasting large windows to take in the commanding views. The house is divided into separate living and sleeping quarters, which are separated by a courtyard with an outdoor fireplace. Feldman Architecture.

Modern New Zealand Glass House Frames Luxurious Features, Inside and Out

Remuera, a quiet suburb of Auckland, New Zealand, is the home of this contemporary, glass house – a modern beacon among its natural surroundings. This sleek design by Hillery Priest Architecture features expansive windows outlined by bold frames that punctuate their contemporary, geometric shape. The window walls seem to float beneath a vast angled roof, and held together by a balcony that runs the perimeter of the house. A large outdoor deck area overlooks the pool. This modern architectural marvel boasts five bedrooms and five baths, spread out among spacious, open-concept interiors that, like the view from the exterior, bring focus primarily to the windows. But when not peering out into nature, the eye roams across tall angled ceilings, warm woods and rich details throughout. This modern home is currently on the market, listed with Bayleys.
