A Skewed View of Home – Maison Go by Peripheriques Architectes

Peripheriques Architectes had a skewed vision of “home” when they designed Maison Go, a three-storey house in Thionville, France. Built atop a concrete underground parking garage, Maison Go boasts a metal frame with a facade made of profilit – a translucent material that offers thermal isolation and privacy. Each level of Maison Go is angled in a different direction, and topping off the structure is a zinc roof. Inside, Maison Go is much more traditional in function, only with a distinctly modern appeal. The main level houses a large multi-purpose entrance, a bedroom, a bathroom and an office. A helical staircase leads down to the garden level, where you’ll find additional bedrooms and a second bathroom. Take the stairs up to the top level, where you’ll find a kitchen, living room and dining room, all opening onto a south-west-facing terrace. A studio flat boasting its own separate entrance is located on the east side of the house. Peripheriques Architectes
