Foscarini Hanging Lights Make a Bold Statement
Foscarini shows their diversity in hanging lights here with two dramatically different concepts. The smooth glossy shapes of the New Buds by Rodolfo Dordoni add a well rounded touch of class in glass with a splash of subtle color thrown in. This 1993 release form Dordoni is as much a hit today as it was 15 years ago. In sharp contrast the Allegro series of hanging lights from designer Atelier Oi depends on sharp angles and points to make its dramatic statement. The Allegro family includes hanging and ceiling mounted lights in several metal finishes and three distinctly different styles released in 2007 by Foscarini of Italy.

Modernica takes Nelson-s Bubble Lamps into the Future
Some things never go out of style, and famed designer George Nelson had a special vision that will carry on far into the future. Nelson-s “Bubble Lamps” designed in 1947 and released in 1950 by Howard Miller are back in full production thanks to Modernica who now makes them exclusively to the exact original specifications. The Bubble Lamp series which is featured in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York is available in hanging, floor, table, or sconce models for application in every part of your home or business.
Air Shadow Retractable Blade Ceiling Fans by Fanimation
Here is a great idea that gives the appearance of a good looking over head light fixture but easily changes to a ceiling fan when needed. The Fanimation series of retractable blade ceiling fans closes when the fan is off and unfolds when turned on for two completely different yet equally beautiful looks. The Air Shadow series comes in several styles from industrial to rustic to adapt to your décor or visual requirements. Fanimation is a great source for conventional ceiling fans that break away from the typical and make a true design statement.

Awesome Glass Lamps and Accessories from Holmegaard
Long before the table lamp came onto the scene, Holmegaard Glassworks of Denmark was mastering the art of fine glass making with blessings of the Danish Queen. Today the Holmegaard tradition continues and has involved some of Denmark-s best known artists. I really like the “One” table lamp by designer Maria Berntsen which is also available in a hanging light and comes in opal white or clear. Holmegaard covers many areas including stemware, vases, bowls, candle holders as well as seasonal items for Christmas and Easter. 60W / E27
George Kovacs Lamps offer more than Light
Several years ago I made a really good investment and furnished my home with George Kovacs lamps. There is a distinct difference in the look and quality of the Kovacs collection that will do more than fill your living spaces with light. Sure it takes very little to illuminate a bulb, but lamps can be interesting and creative taking the plain and making it much more. Starting with great designs and top of the line materials including heavy gauge steel, George Kovacs makes a lamp for every room and situation from bathroom lighting, wall sconces, chandeliers, table and floor lamps. I really like the floor lamp shown here for its rigid line structure yet soft diffused light offering a modern look with a nice touch of ambience.
